Why do people who go to clubs and parties frequently start looking hard or used up?

I’ve noticed this in a few people. Girls and guys who were big into clubbing and partying in their 20’s and 30’s have a certain ‘hard’ or ‘used’ look to them when they reach their late 30’s or 40’s. Same goes for strippers.

What exactly causes their looks to deteriorate so much?
