Try ebay or a sporting good store that sells used equipment.

post a “wanted” ad on your local Craig’s List or your local Yahoo Cheapcycle or Freecycle group

Like the other folks have said, garage sales & eBay are some places to check.
You may also want to check the ads for Dick’s Sporting Goods if you have one in your area. They occasionally have full sets of clubs (bag & putter included) at a decent price, but I’m not sure how much you’re wanting to spend.

Play it again sports if you want local. If you know what type you want or a few types, then EBAY is the best source you can find a good used set for half the value.

GOLF GALAXY HAS A PRETTY GOOD SELECTION OF USED STUFF. IT MIGHT COST A LITTLE BIT MORE BUT U NO THAT U ARE GETTING GOOD STUFF. OTEHR THAN THAT, EBAY OR TALK TO SOME FRIENDS AND SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY OLD CLUBS.
