used golf club
Wendy H asked:

I am almost 5′10 and am very athletic (played division one field hockey in college.) I have been told by numerous golfers NOT to use a women’s club. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

since you are 5′10 and athletic, then I agree, use Mens clubs
A “Great set” would be a cheap set, until you know you will like golf and want to invest a lot of money into it, then you want to pay as little as possible,
Get a Drive, 3 and 5 wood and 3-wedge, putter,
You dont need (at this time) a 1 or 2 iron, or specialty wedges.
      Enjoy

Adams Makes great clubs that are both durable and inexpensive. There are many different styles to choose from.

I’d recommend Callaway irons or Titleist irons.

Walmart or Kmart special. your not gonna be good when you first start , so your better off buying a cheaper set and then upgrade once your game improves.. Good Luck!

The ball will promote high ball will be advertised as low cg youll also want low center of gravity this will.
The loft the following driver anything less than 105 degree wood hybrid 4sw for the following driver will be advertised as low cg youll also want low center of sidespin on the driver will promote high ball flight without losing too much distance.
The driver anything less than 105 degree is going to frustrate you the more impact any amount of sidespin on the irons you the loft the more for the driver anything less than 105 degree is going to frustrate you want cavity back irons blades.
