Golf is a sport that is originally thought to have originated in Bruntsfield Links, in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Welshpool Golf Club was designed in the early on years of the previous century by the famous veteran champion known as James Braid. The course was built by the famous John Stutt of Paisly, and he said that the course resembled the famed Gleneagles course, and insisted that even the famous Gleneagles do not offer anything that is as spectacular as the Welshpool Golf Club. The club is situated among mountains and the giant peaks of Snowdon and Cader Idris are both discernible and offer wonderful vistas to visitors.
