Restoring/Refinishing Golf Clubs - What kind of paint is used in the bottom grooves for alignment?
June 19th, 2010 | by admin |chicojonz asked:
You know how the bottom 2-3 grooves of golf clubs are painted white to help alignment? Anyone know what kind of paint/substance is used for this? (The only kind of golf club paint I’ve been able to find is for cosmetic touch ups of woods.) I have a few clubs that the alignment paint is gone or wearing thin. I could probably just take it to the shop, but with the right kind of paint, I think it might be fairly easy and inexpensive to to do it at home.

Most club manufacturers use acrylic-based paints, you can find it at hobby stores.
