Is the length of regular shaft for a golf club supposed to be shorter then a stiff shaft?

I bought 2 Taylor Made rescue clubs (both 19° 3) off of ebay and the regular shaft club is shorter than the stiff shaft one. Also the stiff shaft club is new, and the other used. Is a regular flex shaft supposed to be shorter then a stiff shaft?

No, they are supposed to be the same length. The person you bought it from probably cut it in an attempt to stiff up the shaft. When that didn’t work he sold it on ebay.
I never said that that was the correct way to stiffen up the shaft, just “probably” what the seller of the club did. To be honest, we are all speculating why it was cut. The only person who knows is the person who cut it.

The shaft is not right however the ebay scenario sounds about right you do not butt cut shaft is not right you do not butt cut shaft to stiffen itit will play softer it was most likely personal preference regarding.
