On this website I found this set and was wondering if this means they were already used.

But how dose dicks sporting goods get their hands on many used sets that are all the same like that?

Please explain!!
Hey googie, you A-hole, I called the store amd asked them if refurbished means they were used previously and they said NOT NECESSARILY, SO HOW ABOUT YOU PICK UP A BOOK OF WORDS AND READ IT YOU DUMB SHIT, FUCK YOU.

Yes. It means they were damaged in some way, but have been reconditioned to their current state, which is intended to be ‘just like new’.

They could have gotten their hands on them in many ways.
      1) They could have taken them in as a trade credit from someone and reconditioned them to make a profit.

      2) The clubs may have been damaged and fixed at the manufacturer (even while they were being made) and then sold to the sporting goods store at a discount.
#2 is the more likely scenario.

I would never buy refurbished electronics, but may consider golf clubs. If you inquire about them, make sure you at least ask what was wrong with them. They may not know, but it is worth the ask.
