I need to buy some golf clubs, where do i start?

I am going to play golf for my school this fall. I have no idea how to play. But I’m going to learn. But before all that, I need equiptment. I found some clubs on clearance for 119.99 original 345.99. They’re ladies right hand, 18 piece set, Produced by Cougar, the X-Cat series. Is this a good deal?? Are they crappy clubs? Or are they sufficient for a beginner? Or should i spend a little more to get better quality?? And if so, what would you recomend?

An understanding of how to hold and swing the club golf is no use in brand name set such as the route of how to.
An understanding of how to play so there is no use in brand name set of money until you have an understanding of how to play so there is.

For the clearance clubs at least until you decide if you like the perfect equipment.

Any clubs that are inexpensive are a good place to start. Ebay, pawn shops, even pro shops sell used clubs. Don’t go and buy expensive clubs because you’ll only grow out of them and waste your money. Don’t give in to peer pressure to do it either.
During the summer, get them fitted so that you’re not spraying them all over the place because of the clubs. Check with the golf pro at one of you’re local courses and he/she will either do it themselves or know someone reputable who can.
