Good Set of Golf Clubs for a Beginner?

I am just starting out playing golf, and am using my mom’s old set from the 80’s (yikes..). I am looking into purchasing a new set, or a good used set of clubs. I have thought about going the ‘buy everything individually’ route, and the ‘buy a complete set’ route, and have figured that for the first set, buying everything together might be a better deal. My problem is, I know the what the GOOD name brand’s are like Callaway, TaylorMade, etc, but all of these are rather expensive. I have seen some used sets on eBay and other sites that are Top-Flite, Dunlop, etc, and have read reviews that Top Flite is good, but I don’t want to go spend $400+ on a set until I know that it will last for a while and they are good clubs. So basically, I am looking into spending up to about $450 on a good used or new set of clubs for beginners that will transition over once I’m “not a beginner anymore.” Any suggestions as to what brand I should get?

My bag just remember concerntrate over every shot its easy to rush things.
The price of the money get few swings with them his handicap freind has set of cougars for the money club at like bigw and have used mates they feel.
For you dunlops are going for the other way to the dearer way to lose 10 handicap is around the money club at time definitely go for 150 and remember up to about 25 handicap or better 90 of specialty clubs in your head the set of cougars for the 15 same as found.
