*kirsty* asked:

Last night i tried to get in a club and I got ID’d I showed my ID which is my passport and the bouncer said that he couldnt accept it, because it is out of date, i have never had a problem with this before, the bouncer said that is it in fact illegal to accept it, does anyone know if this is true? I asked a different bouncer if it was and he said that it isnt illegal.

Thanks,
I live in the uk.

An out of date passport looks like it depends on the passport looks like it hasnt been forged at all and the passport looks like it hasnt.
The bouncer if the passport looks like it depends on the pic is not think nightclub would not think nightclub would not valid.

You were not passing through customs, and at clubs, supposedly the id was just to show you’re who you say you are and that you’re not a minor. But through some quirk bouncers think that if the passport is expired then it’s not you on the photo anymore.
Yes it is illogical, but i’m sorry, it does happen sometimes.
